Rudolf Brombacher

BIOGRAPHY

Rudolf Brombacher (1803 - 1874) was a author of German folktales. He lived his entire life in Freiburg Germany in the Black Forest. His folktales were lesser known than classics compiled by the Brothers Grimm, however many of his stories set the tone for dark and ominous German storytelling.

Some of his better known stories include The Blue Jacket, The Lying Skeleton, Pig Boy, Brave Hans and a series of stories about an evil goat named Spitz.
